Dr. Loren D. Brown, D.O.

Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate work was at the University of Iowa in 1971. He attended medical school at the College of Osteopathy Medical and Surgery (now the Des Moines University) where he graduated in 1974. He served an Internship at Des Moines General Osteopathic Hospital, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital in 1976. Dr. Brown’s fellowship in Medical Oncology was completed at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1979. Dr. Brown first entered solo private practice by forming Central Iowa Oncology and Hematology Associates in 1979. In 2000, he merged his group with Medical Oncology in Hematology Associates. Dr. Brown’s major interests are his children and grandchildren, though he enjoys sailing in the Caribbean and enjoying tropical fish.
